A novel approach to Cesarean section delivery prioritizes the birthing experience of mothers by actively involving them in the process. Developed by Viennese gynecologists, it diverges from traditional Cesarean sections by allowing mothers to participate in delivering their babies. After standard preparation and anesthesia, mothers are equipped with sterile attire. The abdomen is opened, and the baby is partially delivered by the surgeon, with the mother encouraged to assist. Following this, the mother places the newborn on her chest, promoting immediate bonding. This method aims to address concerns regarding maternal passivity and detachment from the birth process typical in conventional Cesarean sections.
