Abstract

This article describes the project in a condensed form with regard to the initial project idea and development, the applied research strategy, and a discussion of the results. The project goal was to evaluate the current availability of freely accessible research data from children’s and youth literature research and, if possible, to create a collection of reusable research data. The research results show that such a collection is currently not feasible due to insufficient data in this area and suggest that research data management in children’s and youth literature research is not in a stage of advanced development. A more targeted research approach and seeking direct contact with researchers is recommended as a more effective approach for obtaining research data in this area. Additionally, it is advisable to concentrate resources on further developing data management practices in the field.
