Abstract

The Wiener Digitale Revue presents an editorially sound edition of the Eipeldauer song by Franz Hebenstreit von Streitenfeld, which is hard to track otherwise. This jewel of the radical wing of Austrian Enlightenment is published together with the revolutionary poem Homo hominibus. We owe it to Anton Tantner’s commitment that Hebenstreit’s noteworthy texts are made available online in the original as well as in a German translation, facilitating their reception and academic appraisal.
