Eine digitale Edition im Entstehen

Abstract

Peter Handkes Notizbücher stellen einen großen, bisher unveröffentlichten Werkkomplex dar, dessen Erschließung für die Handke-Forschung unumgänglich ist. Der Beitrag präsentiert das Vorhaben einer digitalen Edition von 22 Notizbüchern ab dem Jahr 1976, an denen der Übergang von reinen Zwecknotizen zum Notieren als poetische Praxis nachvollzogen werden kann. Der Beitrag bietet Einblicke in die Umsetzung der digitalen Edition, eine Einführung in vorangegangene verwandte Projekte sowie in die Ausgangslage des aktuellen Projekts und stellt einen Ausblick auf potenzielle Auswertungen, Analysen und Visualisierungen des entstehenden Datencorpus dar.

Peter Handke: Notebooks (1976–1979): Peter Handke’s notebooks are a large, hitherto unpublished part of his oeuvre which Handke research cannot ignore. Thecontribution presents the project of a digital edition of 22 notebooks dating from 1972 onwards, which enable the readerto trace the transition from purely purposeful notes to notes as a poetic practice. The contribution offers insights intothe implementation of the digital edition, an introduction to previous related projects, and the baseline of the currentproject, and outlines a forecast to potential analyses and visualizations of the emerging data set.
