The testimony of a 17th-century mother reflects a nurturing bond with her children, emphasizing the maternal role in childcare and healing practices. Despite the historical context, the happiness of infants transcends time and cultural barriers. This paper examines the experiences of caregivers like María Suárez, who nursed Prince Felipe Próspero, shedding light on the challenges and rituals surrounding infant care in royal courts.
