THE RECONSTRUCTION OF THE UNIVERSITY LIBRARY OF GRAZ – A REPORT IN THREE SEQUELS. PART 1: HOW IT BEGAN

Abstract

The here presented first part of the article describes the development of the project of reconstructing the University Library of Graz right from the first idea over the planning phase to the beginning of the construction works. Furthermore the question of alternative buildings for the construction period and the moving measurements are considered in detail. The last capture is dedicated to the selected art for architecture project.
