AUSSDA – The Austrian Social Science Data Archive is being established as an infrastructure for the social sciences in Austria. In this article basic organizational information like the structure and the target groups of the organization as well as (inter)national partnerships will be presented. In addition, some of the challenges facing the new archive will be outlined, concerning the development of the digital archive as well as data acquisition and data reuse.
