Abstract

The article deals with the tradition of a special academic field, agricultural economics and policies during the 20th century. Agricultural economics had become a prominent field of science during the Naziperiod in Germany. Persisting networks after 1945 allowed for the field to re-establish itself by emphasizing mutual appreciation, negating and denying the Nazipast of the academic field and its actors. Among other sources a specialized journal (Agrarwirtschaft) became an empirical focus of the article.
