Traveling Theories: Anmerkungen zur neueren Diskussion über »Race, Class, and Gender«

Abstract

The article discusses the recent developments of the feminist discourse on inequality and differences among women symbolized in the categorical triad of race, class and gender. It follows the changes this triad undergoes on its transatlantic route from the United States to a German-speaking context. The article outlines the theoretical challenges connected to an intersectional perspective aiming to overcome a theoretical stagnation, symptomatically expressed in the ritual citing of »raceclassgender«.
