Abstract

This statement refers to the reply by Christian Swertz, who reacts critically to the article “Künstliche Intelligenz in der Bildung – Ein KInderspiel?“ in the 3/2024 issue of MEDIENIMPULSE. Swertz accuses the authors, among other things, of creating a “data religion” and destroying the education system. In this pointed statement, the authors address these accusations and highlight the potential benefits of the responsible use of artificial intelligence (AI) in education. The focus here is on supporting teachers and students, not on replacing human pedagogy with algorithms.
