Vol. 75 No. 1 (2022): Archive, library and documentation policies. Women* and gender-specific approaches
This special issue takes a women*- and gender-specific look at the work in archives, libraries and documentation centers: What strategies for making hitherto marginalized groups of people or different genres visible are currently being pursued here, and what discussions are being held about them? Gender research has been questioning the androcentric basis of documentation policies for three decades now. What results have been achieved in this process are shown in the contributions by Karin Aleksander, Lisa Appiano, Dani Baumgartner, Susanne Blumesberger, Li Gerhalter, Andrea Gruber, Margit Hauser, Susanne Hochreiter, Marina Rauchenbacher and Katharina Serles, Lydia Jammernegg, Dagmar Jank, Ilse Korotin, Evelyne Luef and Katharina Prager, Stefanie Pöschl and Marius Zierold as well as Elke Zobl.
The special issue was created in the context of the 30th anniversary of frida, the "Association for the Promotion and Networking of Women-Specific Information and Documentation Centers in Austria," which is also presented here from various perspectives.
