Eine Figur zur medien- und bildungstheoretischen Analyse des Cyberlibertarismus

Abstract

Seit Donalds Trumps zweiter Amtszeit wird der Aufstieg eines Techno-Autoritarismus diagnostiziert, in dem die Tech-Elite des Silicon Valley politische Macht übernimmt. Vorliegende Diagnosen benennen jedoch meist das Symptom, nicht die ideologische Tiefenstruktur und ihren Transportweg. Der Beitrag schlägt dafür die Figur der „ideologischen Pipeline“ als eigenständiges medien- und bildungstheoretisches Analyseinstrument vor. Sie rekonstruiert, wie rechtsautoritäres Denken, eingebettet in den Cyberlibertarismus und getarnt durch progressive Vokabeln wie „Open“ / „Openness“ sowie durch die unsichtbar gewordene Episteme der Kybernetik, von den Rändern des Internets bis in die Mitte demokratischer Institutionen, insbesondere der Hochschule, gelangt. Das methodische Vorgehen ist genealogisch-rekonstruktiv, nicht teleologisch und beleuchtet den technopolitischen Nährboden, der die gegenwärtige Konstellation ermöglichte. Abschließend werden drei Thesen für eine kritische Medienbildungstheorie formuliert.
