Abstract

Andreas Okopenko is paradoxically one of the most important and one of the most underestimated Austrian post-war writers. From the 1950s onward, he left his mark on the literary world not only as an innovative author but also as an enterprising networker. The Literary Archives of the Austrian National Library are now publishing a hybrid edition of his diaries from the years 1945-1955, which reflect the beginnings of his literary work. Johanna Lenhart reviews the print edition for Medienimpulse.
