Utopien für die (Medien-)Pädagogik?
Verhandlungen von Posthumanismus und Transhumanismus in Science-Fiction am Beispiel von Frank Herberts "Dune"

Im vorliegenden Beitrag soll am Beispiel von Frank Herberts Roman Dune gezeigt werden, inwieweit Science Fiction uns mit Fragen im Spannungsfeld Mensch-Technologie-Umwelt jenseits von unhinterfragtem Techno-Optimismus oder -Pessimismus konfrontieren und damit als Reflexionsraum vor allem für ethische Fragen dienen kann. Der Beitrag nimmt dabei zunächst zentrale Fragen und Ideen der beiden Utopien des kritischen Posthumanismus sowie des Transhumanismus in den Blick und grenzt die beiden Strömungen gegeneinander ab. Danach wird explorierend danach gefragt, wie die (Medien-)Pädagogik an die vom kritischen Posthumanismus artikulierten Forderungen anknüpfen kann. Anschließend wird anhand einiger Beispiele gezeigt, wie mit Frank Herberts Roman Dune zentrale Ideen und Fragestellungen des kritischen Posthumanismus aufgegriffen und illustriert werden und damit ein dringender Appell an uns gerichtet wird.
