The text “Science Fiction or already Reality? Fragmentary thoughts on the present” deals with the significance of science fiction stories for the development of visions of the future and the understanding of technology. It will discuss how technologies, automation and artificial intelligence influence our lives and what impact this can have on our society. Using “Camille Stories” as a creative discourse enables the development of possible future scenarios that put the humanistic understanding of the world, education and society in a new perspective. It emphasises the importance of leading young people to maturity and empowering them to think alternative futures in order to help shape transformation processes in society. The text shows how an old science fiction story written over 100 years ago reflects current reality.
