Ein wichtiger Meilenstein des 2016 ins Leben gerufenen Digital Citizenship Education-Programms des Europarats wird das Europäische Jahr der Digital Citizenship Education 2025. Ziel des #DCEY2025 ist die Förderung der Digitalen Citizenship und die Auseinandersetzung mit den Herausforderungen und Chancen des digitalen Umfelds in den Bildungssystemen. Adressiert werden sollen vor allem junge Menschen. Dieser Beitrag gibt einen Überblick über Intentionen, Planungsstand (Sommer 2024) und Rahmenbedingungen für diese europäische Bildungskampagne.
