Cultural education in post-digital age

Evaluation results of the OeAD priority topic "More than Bytes - Cultural Education and Digital Media"

Abstract

The improvement of media skills is one of the most important educational tasks. In 2019/20 Austria’s Agency for Education and Internationalisation (OeAD) developed the program “More than Bytes – Digital Media and Cultural Education”, which has now been evaluated by the research institute EDUCULT. The Study confirms that cultural education projects promote media competence. The added value lies in the “holistic, reflective and social character” of artistic working methods.
