Digital devices enable lower secondary school students to participate in the creation of media in digital education lessons. The aim of the study is to quantify the interaction between the use of digital devices and the ability to self-regulate, which is helpful for the development of skills. To answer the research question of the extent to which differences in self-efficacy and self-regulation of motivation depend on the devices used, a cross-sectional study was conducted, collecting data from secondary schools and high schools. The results indicate that a further selection criterion can be used for the purchase of digital devices available to students.
