Abstract

Films can be submitted for VIENNA SHORTS 2025 until January 5th, 2025, be it for one of the four competitions or for several non-competitive sections. There is prize money of around €30,000 as well as qualifications for the OscarsⓇ or the European Film Prize. Together with the Johann Strauss 2025 Vienna Festival, we are also looking for modern and cliché-free cinematic interpretations of the Danube Waltz that last a maximum of 10 minutes. No matter whether it's a music video, animation or fiction, whether it's poetic, political or personal.
