Abstract

The comprehensive anthology Kritische Pädagogik und Bildungsforschung. Anschlüsse an Paulo Freire addresses the continuing relevance of the approaches of the influential Brazilian educational philosopher Paulo Freire with regard to current political, social and global challenges. The 28 contributions take up Freire's theoretical and methodological concepts and discuss them in relation to current fields of research and practice. Critical discussions of Freire's theories are examined as well as their current applications, e.g. in the context of social injustice, child poverty or environmental issues.
