Abstract

The Adventures of Tintin, a Franco-Belgian comic book series created by illustrator and writer Hergé between 1929 and 1983, has accompanied the childhoods and youths of generations. Swiss essayist Martin Meyer argues that the condition humaine can be deciphered within these 25 comic books and provides evidence of this in 23 entertaining chapters.
